Why take the PADI Wreck Specialty course?
The lure of exploring sunken vessels, airplanes and automobiles is something most divers can’t resist. The PADI Wreck Diver Course introduces you to wreck diving and helps you develop the skills and knowledge necessary for safe and fun wreck diving.
What’s involved in the course?
During the course you will cover techniques for diving exploring shipwrecks, and how to avoid common hazards; how to research and learn the background of your favorite wrecks; wreck scuba diving equipment considerations; considerations and techniques for entering intact wrecks; and experience in planning, organizing and making at least four wreck dives under the supervision of your PADI Instructor.
Who can take the course?
To take this course you must have a Adventure Diver certification and be at least 15 years old.
When does the course run?
All our specialties run regularly year round. Our training staff can work out an individual schedule for the specialty courses that interest you.
Where does the course run?
We do have local Wellington wrecks that we can run the course on (subject to weather) or pair it up with a trip to the Mikhail Lermontov, HMNZS Canterbury or even the Rainbow Warrior.
