The Sherwood Amphos also has an amazing Freedive mode making it one of the most universal Watch/Scuba/Freedive computers around.
Amphos starts selected dive mode at the moment when it senses depth of 1.5 m, if diver set wet activation to ON.
The Amphos Dive computer has main and alternative displays with all information related to type of dive, No-Decompression or Decompression conditions, also it warns the diver with Deep and Safety Stops (if set to ON before), and any violations that he/she may have. Also diver may switch mixes during the single dive with the easy procedure.
Scuba dive computer displays Dive Time Remaining (DTR) by monitoring your current depth, oxygen accumulation, No-Decompression status. It shows you not only your DTR at certain depth in minutes, but also displays status on NiBG by adding or taking away segments and O2 saturation (if set for Nitrox dive) on O2BG (NiBG and O2BG – the same bar graph that is shared between nitrogen and oxygen conditions).
If you set Amphos for Nitrox – dive computer performs calculations in different way. You have different percentage of nitrogen and oxygen and your body responds differently to such a gas mix. In this case diver is exposed to oxygen toxicity. When amount of time remaining before he/she reaches O2 limits becomes less than No-Decompression (NDC) Time Remaining at certain depth, dive computer starts calculations for that depth regarding to O2 and Oxygen Time remaining (OTR) will be displayed as Dive Time Remaining on the main display.
If you need to switch between gas mixes – it is easy to do – just use combination of M-button (Mode) and S-button (Select) buttons. Mix switching can be done only from Gas Switch Preview screen, which can be accessed from Dive Main display by pressing M-button.
